Breast Consultation

This service is intended for women and men who present breast symptoms, abnormalities identified in imaging tests, or who wish to undergo a preventive evaluation of breast health.

During the consultation, a detailed clinical assessment is performed, including personal and family history, physical examination of the breasts, and analysis of complementary tests, such as mammography, breast ultrasound, or magnetic resonance imaging, whenever necessary.

Among the most common situations that motivate a senology consultation are:

1. Breast lumps
2. Breast pain (mastalgia)
3. Skin or nipple changes
4. Nipple discharge
5. Monitoring of cysts or benign lesions
6. Evaluation of women at high risk of breast cancer
7. Clarification of abnormalities detected in imaging tests.

When indicated, additional tests may be recommended, such as fine needle aspiration, breast microbiopsy, or magnetic resonance imaging, allowing for precise evaluation and timely treatment.
